About me

I was born in Tampere, Finland in 1984. Now, in the summer of 2008, I have just graduated with a scholarship as a Bachelor of Culture and Arts. Due to this new era in my life I'm determined to launch a career as a freelance illustrator that I've been working towards to for a long time.

More about me

Many an artist tell they were basically born with a pencil in their hand. I wouldn't say that applies to me, even though I was slightly better at drawing than most of my peers. I've always been fascinated by drawing, but it wasn't until my early teenage years when I started a rigorous practice. It just kind of happened on one day: I suddenly felt like deciding that I must draw something every single day. Doing exactly that has brought me a long way since then.

I've been enjoying games ever since I was five years old. When my artistic abilities started to awaken, I was constantly involved in multiple game projects. That's the point where my graphic design skills started to build up.

After finishing high school I applied to an art & media college to which I also got in. During my four-year studies I worked in the mobile game industry as a graphic designer. It was spectacular to get such work experience on top of school lessons, but it was even greater for funding my almost bohemian lifestyle.

Then I graduated. Whoops? As I mentioned earlier, I'm currently launching my career. It's very exciting to see where things are going next.

Even more about me

I like to think there's quite a bit of a renaissance man in me. After all, my thirst for learning is truly endless. It's not merely ambition that constantly drives me to improve my skills and knowledge, but rather the pleasure that comes from the learning process itself.

When I'm not creating some visual imagery, one might find me composing aural imageries instead. Music means a whole lot to me. I've been creating music using my computer for as long as I've been drawing. Only during recent years have I become exquisitely interested in playing some instruments myself. Hence, I have acquired myself a violin and a piano. I enjoy playing them both immensely.

Understanding the human mind is another marvelous a quest. I spend a lot of time reading books on psychology and listening to my friends' dilemmas. To counterbalance all these artistic and intellectual hobbies I excercise and enjoy some truly offbeat humor.
